Course Description

The OSHA 30-hour General Industry course is an extensive training program developed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), designed to equip participants with in-depth knowledge and skills essential for ensuring workplace safety and health in various general industry settings. Covering a comprehensive range of topics including hazard communication, emergency preparedness, personal protective equipment (PPE), electrical safety, machine guarding, and regulatory compliance, this course goes beyond the basics to provide participants with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and risk mitigation strategies. Through interactive lectures, case studies, and hands-on activities, participants learn to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards effectively, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course and passing a final exam, participants receive an OSHA 30-hour General Industry completion card, validating their advanced training and demonstrating their commitment to promoting a culture of safety within their organizations.

  1. Confined Space Entry
  2. Hazardous Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout)
  3. Bloodborne Pathogens
  4. Workplace Violence Prevention
  5. Fire Safety

These elective topics can be chosen based on the specific hazards and needs of the workplace.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completing the OSHA 30-hour General Industry Training, participants will acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills crucial for ensuring workplace safety and health in various general industry settings.
