Course Description
In Georgia, third-party testing for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is allowed. This means that you can choose to take your CDL skills test through an approved third-party tester rather than through the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS). Third-party testers are authorized by the DDS to administer the skills tests and notify the DDS of the outcome.

Course Outline

In addition, for OFTC, the individual being tested must provide the vehicle (bus or tractor trailer) for testing. These vehicles must be properly registered and insured – this documentation must also be provided to the examiner.
- Receive Your CDL: If you pass the skills test, the third-party tester will provide you with information to take to your local DDS location in order to obtain your CDL license.
